The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), is a standardized assessment tool designed to diagnose autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in children and adults. This tool uses semi-structured play or interview sessions tailored to the individual’s age and communication level. While the ADOS-2 is not always necessary for diagnosis, it can be particularly helpful for individuals with more subtle symptoms or when required by insurance. Dr. Fields has completed two specialized trainings and is certified to administer the ADOS-2. Additionally, she brings valuable hands-on experience in conducting this assessment.
